A Shell Shaped to the Bottle

The bottle sits inside a contoured pulp shell rather than a flat box interior, molded to trace the shoulder and base curve of the cream bottle so it can't shift sideways during shipping. Surface texture stays slightly coarse, closer to raw fiber than a smoothed finish, which lets the outer sleeve grip and stay seated without adhesive dots along the seam. Wall thickness varies by zone, thicker at the base where drop impact concentrates, thinner around the shoulder to save material.

Sleeve and Shell as Separate Layers

A printed paper sleeve wraps around the pulp shell after molding, carrying the brand graphics and ingredient text that the fiber surface itself can't hold at fine resolution. Because the sleeve is a separate wrap rather than a direct print on the pulp, artwork can change between production runs without altering the mold or the shell color. The two pieces separate cleanly at end of life, sleeve peels off, shell breaks down on its own timeline.

One Mold, Easier Transition From Plastic

Cavity depth is set for a standard cream bottle profile, though the same shell tooling accepts minor height variation before a new mold becomes necessary. Buyers moving from plastic clamshells toward this fiber-molded cradle typically keep bottle dimensions unchanged and adjust only the sleeve artwork, which shortens the transition compared to redesigning packaging from scratch.
