When we first started conceptualizing the packaging for this hand cream, our team kept pondering one thing: Hand cream is meant to soothe and nourish our hands, so shouldn't its outer shell also offer a comforting "warmth"?
That’s why we choosing instead to work with 100% biodegradable molded pulp. Just like the design in the pictures—its lines are exceptionally soft, without a single sharp edge. It feels like a smoothly polished pebble you might stumble upon by a stream. When you cup it in your hands, you can distinctly feel the natural, slightly coarse, yet warm texture of the plant fibers. It's like touching a piece of artisanal paper that has a story to tell; it grounds you instantly.

We intentionally took a "less is more" approach here. You won’t find any flashy inks or glaring foil stamps. So, how did we apply the brand logo? We went with the most raw and unpretentious technique: debossing. Without a single drop of ink, we relied purely on the pressure of the mold to press the logo deeply into the paper. We want you to be able to close your eyes, pick it up, and gently trace those indented contours with your fingertips. It’s a reflection of our dedication to true sustainability, but also a quiet, understated sense of luxury.
The real magic, however, happens the moment you open it.
There is something incredibly charming about molded pulp—when the top and bottom lids come together, there's this very natural, subtle friction. When you gently pull it apart, it feels exactly like splitting open a plant's seed pod to reveal the "treasure" inside that will nourish your hands. Paired with the faint, natural herbal scent of the hand cream itself, your senses of sight, touch, and smell all beautifully align in that one moment.

At Otarapack we believe that great packaging is never just a throwaway box; it should tell a story right alongside the product. We've woven sustainability, mindful restraint, and a rich sensory experience into this little package. Our hope is that every time you go to apply your hand cream, it turns into a one-minute "escape" from your busy life—a brief moment to step back into nature and take a deep breath.
How does this version feel in English? Hopefully, it reads more like someone passionately sharing their latest creation rather than a technical manual. Does this emotional, storytelling tone capture the vibe your brand wants to convey?
